The Market of certified products Halal is immense. It includes 1,8 billion Muslims in the world living at 112 countries and, many other non Muslims, they choose to eat certified products with this quality. Now, there are 9 million Muslims approximately living in North America, besides, 20 million in Europe, 300 million in Africa, 200 million in Middle East and 800 million in Asia. The global market of products Halal has an estimated value of USD 2, 1 trillion. The products in potential for this market include foods, pharmaceutics, cosmetics, products in leather, as well as, services. It is waited that the consumption of these products increases considerably with the increase of the Islamic population in the world. Now, the largest consumer market of products Halal is in the southeast and in the west of Asia. Traditionally, most of the products Halal are formed of foods. The consumers usually associate it with the inspections of component ingredients of the food, storage form and strict observance of the hygiene norms and sanitary procedures of the producer. Now, only in the area of foods a market of USD 150 billion is esteemed. The demand for foods Halal is increasing among the Muslims due to theirs compulsory nature of just consuming this type food. The search for the HALAL CERTIFICATE, that attests with safety and the quality in the process of production of foods of this type, it has also been increasing considerably.


What is Halal Food ?

In agreement with the Islamic Law, impurity-Najs means:
• Things no allowed as: Pigs and yours derived, blood and carrion;
• Foods that contain substances considered illicit;
• Foods that have had direct contact with illicit substances;
• Any expelled substance of the bodies of animals and human beings, as: urine, feces, blood, vomits, pus, sperm and etc...
• Carrion or you encourage that have not been killed in agreement with the Islamic Law.
There are some Islamic points of view about the Fish, we advise that even been the food made with fish, it is preferable to request a Halal Islamic Certificate to it.

What are impurity najs ?

The term means food done under the supervision of the Islamic Law-Shariah and that it follows the following conditions:
• The food or their ingredients don't contain parts or products of illicit animals for the consumption of the Muslims by the Islamic Law or original products of animals that were not depressed according to her;
• The food doesn't contain any ingredient that is considered Impure-Najs in agreement with the Islamic Law;
• The food that was not prepared, processed or manufactured using polluted equipments with Impure things- Najs, according to the Islamic Law;

Which the three types of impurities ?

Mughallazah: That is considered as the most severe type of Impurity - Najs that are the dogs and the pigs, descending and flowed, excrements and urine; wash method and cleaning - Dibagh in agreement with the applied Islamic Law to Najs Mughallazah, as follow:

The visible impurity - Ainiah or invisible it is called of Hukmiah. To clean her it should be done:
• To wash seven times, belonging one to them with sand;
• The first wash should be made for the whole impurity to be removed. after that, it can be done without details;
• The used sand should be enough just to be noticed.


Mukhaffafah: That is considered as a light form of Sludges-Najs. The only impurity of this category is the child's urine (male), until the 2 year-old age, since it has not consumed any food type to not to be the maternal milk;

Mutawassitah: That is considered as medium impurity as: Vomit, pus, blood, alcohol, carrion, excrements and urine.

Halal Foods and drinks

Animal
Animals can be divided in two categories:

Terrestrial animals
All the terrestrial animals are lawful for the consumption except the following ones:
• Animals that were not depressed for the Islamic Law;
• Pigs, dogs and their descendants;
•Animals with canine long that it is used to kill their preys, as: tigers, bears, elephants, cats, monkeys and etc...
• Birds of prey;
• Plagues, such as, mice, centipedes, scorpions and others encourage similar;
• Animals which it is prohibited to kill according to Islam, such as: Bees and Woodpeckers;
• Considered creatures repulsive, such as: Lynx, flies and etc...

Aquatic animals
They are the animals that live in the water and they cannot live out of her, as for instance the fish. All the aquatic animals are lawful except the poisonous, poisonous and that cause harms the human health. Animals that live in the water and in the earth, such as: Crocodiles, turtles and toads, are not lawful (Halal) for the consumption.

There some islamic schools whatever that state that the certain types of fish is not halal. We request, for more security, the halal certificate to any product, even fish.

Plants
All of the types of plants and vegetable products and yours derived they are Halal except those that are poisonous, poisonous and harmful to the health.

Mushrooms and Personal computer-organisms
All of the types of mushrooms and personal computer-organisms (bacteria, algae and mushrooms) and their products and / or flowed are Halal, except those that are poisonous and harmful to the health.

Minerals and natural chemistries
All of the types of Minerals and natural chemistries are Halal, except those that are poisonous and harmful to the health.

Drinks
All of the types of water and drunk are Halal, except those that are poisonous, poisonous and harmful to the health.


Foods Genetically Modified (AGM)
Any food or drink produced with material genetically modified, coming of illicit animals for the Islamic consumption they are not Halal.

How is made the Halal slaughtering ?

In agreement with the Islamic Law the slaughtering should cut the windpipe, esophagus and the arteries carotids and the jugular vein.

The Halal Slaughtering Should be separated from the material Non-halal following the applications below:
1. The slaughtering can only be made by a person mentally healthy, that understands completely the fundamental rules and conditions related with the slaughtering of animals in Islam;
2. The objective of the Slaughtering is for Allah and it can not be devoted to the other gods;
3. The animal that it will be slaughtered should alive;
4. The animal should be healthy and that should be attested by the health authority;
5. The sentence: In the Name of Allah, The Merciful, The Compassionate should be pronounced;
6. The slaughtering lines, tools and utensils should be dedicated only for the Halal slaughtering;
7. The knives should be sharp;
8. The Slaughtering should be made of a single time;
9. Bones and teeth cannot be used as slaughtering tools;
10. A muslim inspector should be pointed to be responsible for the inspection in the animals and in the slaughtering form;
11. The stun is not recommended;
12. An Islamic slaughter Man.

Hygiene and sanitary conditions

Hygiene, appropriate sanitary conditions are prerequisites in the preparation of the food Halal. They are included in this topic the personal hygiene, uniforms, equipments and the production norms and processing of foods.
Measures should be implemented for:
1. To avoid the contamination for air, soil, water, ration, fertilizers (including the natural fertilizers), pesticides, veterinary drugs or any other agent used in the production would excel;
2. To protect the food of contamination for feces, plagues, personal computer-organisms and etc...
3. The food Halal should be stored and wrapped taking into account the hygiene norms.

The system should be implemented seeking to prevent:
1. The contamination of the food for strange objects as: I glaze, plastic and etc...
2. The packing cannot be made by materials considered illicit or impure-Najs for the Islamic Law;
3. It cannot be prepared, wrapped, manufactured or processed by materials or equipments considered Non Halal.
