The islamic dissemination Centre for Latin America

The Islamic Dissemination Centre for Latin America is an Islamic and independent charitable, cultural and social foundation that actuates in the dissemination of Islamic knowledge and in defense of Muslim issues, as well as in the assistance to them. It also works to preserve Islam's image with the non-Muslims, rebutting many of the false accusations made by several opponents and enemies of Islam across the media.

The Center's aims

The Islamic Dissemination Centre for Latin America walks the path of charity by working in a simple way and according to its conditions, seeking to make up for the time lost by the generations that preceded us in these lands.

For this reason, the Center has been engaged in fulfilling the voids that may exist in the Islamic community in this huge continent, with the aim of giving cultural, social, political and economic support to the Islamic communities, explaining the truths of this wonderful religion so that the Muslim citizen becomes an active component of this country, and an example of Islamic conduct to all.
The Center also concentrates in the teaching of the Arabic language, the language of the Holy Koran, so that it can be disseminated in the interior of the Islamic community and among those who wish to learn it. In addition to this, it seeks for a better comprehension of the honorable Islamic culture, clarifying the most varied issues of the Islamic religion in a correct and clear way through discussions, symposiums, courses, newspaper articles and international meetings that the Center promotes annually in order to disseminate the Islamic culture and principles in accordance with the Islamic principle of the “non separation and non segregation”. For all this, the Center has already translated a large number of moderate Islamic books, and distributes them to the universities
and Islamic centers throughout this continent.

We also have for a purpose to stimulating the memorization of the Holy Koran and the construction of mosques, and consequently of giving continuity to the dissemination of Islam in them, since mosques are the place where people grow up and the first school where the individual becomes conscious in the compliance of what Allah has determined. To finalize, the Center's general purposes is to call people to the religion of Allah, to explain Islam to people and to defend our belief against those who may blemish it, disseminating it throughout the world.

Activities

Congresses
The Center has already promoted 20 international congresses that taking place every year, the first one in Argentina in 1987, which yielded the first of many fruits in the organization of the dissemination work in the American continent. The annual congress became a constant among the Center's activities.

Participation in national and international congresses
The Center actively takes part in national and international Islamic congresses through the World Islamic League and through the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Islamic campings and courses
The Center promotes cultural and dissemination encounters, annual camping and promotes courses of Islamic religion with the participation of religious leaders.

Active participation together with the controllers and Brazilian authorities
The Center keeps active participation together with the controllers and Brazilian authorities supporting its main social projects valuing the importance of the Islamic community in Brazil.

Education and Teaching
• Foundation of the Abu Bakr As Siddiq (Institute of memorization of the Holy Koran for boys)
• Foundation of the Aisha (Institute of memorization of the Holy Koran for girls)
• Foundation of Holy Koran and Arabic language teaching circles

Mosques and disseminators
The Center has been engaged in building mosques and Islamic centers. The Center also sponsors some disseminators, sheikh and male and female professors.

Charitable and social care activities
The Center supports and sponsors countless charitable institutions, and is vital for the accomplishment of their goals.
